TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 1, 2023) – There was no fooling around for the No. 16 Salt Lake Community College Softball team Saturday.

SLCC finished off a series sweep of in-state rival Snow College on the road, earning wins of 18-4 and 11-2 to move to 4-0 in the series. The victories boost the Bruins to 24-7 overall and 18-2 in Scenic West games.

Salt Lake will host USU Eastern at Norma Carr Field next weekend.

Salt Lake 18, Snow 4: In the first of SLCC's run-rule victories, the Bruins scored 11 runs in the fourth inning to earn the victory.

Trailing 2-1 in the third inning,
Brooklyn Pritchett hit a bases-loaded triple to give CSN a 4-2 lead.
Trinity Benson then added a bases-clearing triple in the fourth inning, with
Lyndsey Madrigal adding a two-run home run later in the frame.Â

Ry Binne was 3-of-3 in the win, while Benson and
Brooklyn Pintar were both 2-of-3.
Taylor Hagen threw a complete game in the pitching win.Â

Salt Lake 11, Snow 2: More offensive fireworks lifted Salt Lake to a run-rule win in the series finale.

Leading 4-1 in the third inning,
Brooklyn Pritchett hit an RBI double, with
Lyndsey Madrigal also hitting an RBI single in the frame. Pritchett, Madrigal and
Ry Binne all went 2-of-3 in the game.

Bailey Marvin earned the pitching win, throwing five innings and posting a pair of strikeouts.
