TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, December 9, 2023) – Ten of eleven Bruins that played on Saturday afternoon scored in a 95-40 Salt Lake blowout win.

SLCC improved to 9-4 with the 55-point win over Trinidad State. It was the Bruins' second 50+ point margin of victory in their five-game winning streak.

Bouncing back from a subpar shooting performance the previous night, Salt Lake made 52 percent of its shots and had five players score double-figures in the win. Ana Oliviera Dias led her team with 19 points and seven rebounds. Dias knocked down three shots from deep, where she is shooting 43.2 percent for the season. Jeanne Rodriguez scored a season-high 16 points while missing just one shot from the field and collecting four rebounds.

Ines Gnahore scored 13 points and added five assists. Heaven Samayoa-Mathis and Laura Di Stefano each added a dozen points,

A harassing Bruins defense forced 32 Trinidad State turnovers, the most in a single game this year.

The Bruins play two more games on December 15 and 16 before an extended holiday break. Salt Lake travels to Powell, Wyoming for a game against a local all-star team before facing Northwest College the following afternoon.
