Bruins remain undefeated after knocking off Yavapai College

Luster's 23 points lead Salt Lake to tenth straight win

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Friday, December 1, 2023) – The Bruins improved to 10-0 with an authoritative 89-61 win over Yavapai College.

CJ Luster tied his season-high, knocking down 6-of-11 threes on his way to a team-high 23 points. Bryce Zephir added 14 points and Preston Squire hit a trio of threes to finish with 11 points.

SLCC is one win shy of equaling its 11-0 start to begin last season.

Salt Lake travels to Sterling, Colorado for the Region IX Challenge on December 8 and 9. Tip-off against Trinidad State College is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (MT) on Friday, December 8. 

The No. 2 Bruins take on Otero College at 12:30 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, December 9. Find tickets for all Salt Lake Community College events here.
