TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 14, 2023) – A weekend Scenic West Athletic Conference game couldn't have gone any better for the No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team.
 
Salt Lake posted another elite performance in a win over in-state rival USU Eastern, finishing with a 109-73 win over the Eagles. The victory lifts the Bruins to 19-1 overall and 7-1 in league play, keeping SLCC in second place in the league standings.
 
SLCC never trailed in the dominant win, leading by as many as 36 points late in the second quarter. The Bruins shot 60 percent in the game, hitting 22-of-40 three-point shots. 
 
Alejandro Vasquez posted 19 points to lead the Bruins, while Jaquan Scott had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jared Garcia finished with 15 points, while both Andre Mulibea and Tyson Garff finished with 13 points each. 
 
Salt Lake will Snow College and Community Christian College in Scenic West games next week. The Bruins will host Snow on Thursday, facing CCC on Saturday.
