The Bruins earned a 17-0 win at Southern Nevada on Thursday to open a four-game series, moving to 5-0 on the season against the Coyotes. SLCC is now 26-5 overall and 20-1 in Scenic West play.

In a remarkable performance, SLCC held an 8-0 lead after the second inning, stretching the lead by scoring eight more runs in the fourth inning. Offensive highlights included a
Hunter Swapp RBI double in the first inning, a
Cade Perkins RBI double in the second inning and a bases-clearing double by
Braden Winget in the fourth inning.

Derik Eaquinto posted a dominating pitching performance, striking out the side in the fourth and fifth innings. He finished with nine strikeouts while allowing just a single hit and walk.
Chase Taylor went 2-of-3 at the plate.Â

Salt Lake and Southern Nevada will play a doubleheader Friday, then conclude the series on Saturday.
