TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 2, 2022) – The No. 16 Salt Lake Community College Baseball team finished off yet another series sweep on Saturday.

SLCC earned an 11-1 victory over Community Christian College at Cate Field, finishing the Scenic West Athletic Conference series with a mark of 4-0 and outscoring CCC by a margin of 55-3. The win lifts the Bruins to 25-5 overall and 19-1 in Scenic West games.

In a run-rule victory, it was Community Christian who opened the game with a solo home run in the first inning. It was all Bruins from there though, with Kaleb Bodily hitting an RBI single, then
Dalton Hodge posting a two-run triple to give SLCC a 3-1 lead after an inning. Bodily later added a solo home run in the third inning, alongside Hodge hitting another two-run triple in the fourth inning.

Both Bodily (3-of-3) and Hodge (2-of-2) were perfect at the plate in the game, with Hodge posting 4 RBI's.
Ernesto Lugo-Canchola earned the pitching win, throwing four innings and finishing with seven strikeouts.Â

Salt Lake will travel to play a four-game series at Southern Nevada next weekend.
