TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 12, 2022) – Games against in-state rivals always carry strong pressure, but never is the pressure greater than when a team is undefeated facing a hungry, nationally-ranked rival.

Those were the circumstances the No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team found itself in Saturday, facing a Snow team that has continued to build momentum throughout a long season. The Bruins rolled to another impressive home win, earning a 99-94 win over No. 15 Snow College to move to 3-0 over the Badgers this season. Salt Lake is now 28-0 overall and 17-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with the win.

In one of Salt Lake's closest games of the season, it was Snow who actually led at halftime, 45-44, after leading by as many as 11 points midway through the first half. SLCC found its own momentum in the second half, eventually stretching out a lead to 11 points. The Badgers came back to cut SLCC's lead to three points, 97-94, with just nine seconds remaining but
Chase Adams hit a pair of late foul shots to close out the SLCC win. The Bruins found their edge in the game at the free-throw line, going 27-of-40 at the line compared to Snow's 20-of-28.Â

Jordan Brinson posted a team-high 25 points in the win for SLCC, while
Doctor Bradley scored 17 points.
Jackson Last finished with 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting, and
Chase Adams had 11 points.Â
SLCC will return to the floor on Wednesday with another strong test, playing at Southern Idaho. Â
