TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 21, 2022) – The preseason schedule is officially in the books for the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball program.
 
SLCC posted an 81-56 win over Casper College Wednesday, closing a preseason tournament hosted by the College of Southern Nevada with a 2-1 mark. The win also boosts the Bruins to 13-2 overall.
 
After playing a close first quarter, the Bruins steadily build their lead in the middle quarters, opening a 43-27 advantage in that period. Salt Lake also used its size in the post to consistently score in the paint, holding a 38-26 advantage.
 
Finau Tonga scored 15 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting, while Aminata Diakite had 14 points. Mia Tarver posted 13 points ,and Allyzee Verdan finished with 12 points for Salt Lake. 
 
Salt Lake will take a break for the holidays, resuming play with a road game at Southern Nevada on January 4.
