TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 26, 2022) – A theme of 'thankfulness' is high on the minds of the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team after this weekend.
SLCC rolled to a 59-54 win over Eastern Wyoming Saturday, moving to 2-0 in a Thanksgiving home tournament. The Bruins are now 6-0 overall.
Salt Lake never trailed in the game, leading 30-24 at halftime and leading by as many as 11 points midway through the third quarter. Eastern Wyoming shot just 35.6 percent in the game, going 5-of-22 from three-point range.
Finau Tonga posted 18 points in the matinee win, while Ashton Adamson had a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. SLCC held a 58-29 rebounding edge.
Salt Lake will host Northwest College inside the Lifetime Activities Center on Friday.
