TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 27, 2022) – The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team kept its momentum moving forward, earning a strong win over the College of Southern Nevada Thursday.
SLCC picked up a 102-77 win over CSN, finishing a regular-season series sweep of the Coyotes. The victory lifts Salt Lake to 23-0 overall and 12-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
After a slower start, the Bruins told hold in the first half and held a 50-38 lead at halftime. Salt Lake then powered on to limit CSN to just 2-of-5 shooting from three-point range in the second half, alongside forcing 23 turnovers and scoring 32 points off those turnovers.
SLCC finished with six double-digit scorers in the game, led by
Jordan Brinson who scored 18 points.
Max Watson posted 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, with
Doctor Bradley and
Chase Adams both scoring 13 points.
Jaxon Pollard scored 11 points and
Quincy McGriff had 10 points.
Salt Lake will play one of its biggest conference games of the year Saturday, hosting No. 8 Southern Idaho at 3:00 p.m. inside the Lifetime Activities Center.
