TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 18, 2021) – The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer team continued their strong play, earning their first Scenic West road win of the season Saturday.

SLCC picked up a 2-0 victory at Truckee Meadows Community College, holding TMCC scoreless for the match. The Bruins are now 4-1-1 overall and 1-1-0 in Scenic West matches.

After a close first period, Salt Lake swung into gear in the second period, scoring in the 51
st minute on a
Layla Garcia goal. SLCC added a clinching goal in the 89
th minute, thanks to Cecelia Norman. Salt Lake held a 9-1 edge in total shots in the match, with
Katrina Gardner making a save in a shutout victory.Â

Salt Lake will continue its swing through neighboring Nevada Thursday, playing at the College of Southern Nevada.
