TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 21, 2021) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball program picked up another strong regional victory, earning a non-conference win in the 'CSN Holiday Tournament'.
SLCC earned a 49-36 over Glendale Community College in day two of the CSN tournament, moving to 2-0. The Bruins are now 11-2 overall.
Both teams went back-and-forth in the first half, with both teams sitting in a 19-19 halftime tie. Salt Lake took control in the third quarter, outscoring Glendale by a margin of 17-5, limiting Glendale to just 2-of-13 from the field.
Allyzee Verdan led the Bruins with 11 points, while
Diarrah Sissoko and Dejessira Diawara both posted 8 points. Defense ruled the game, with SLCC shooting just 2-of-17 from three-point range.
Salt Lake will finish the tournament Wednesday, facing Central Arizona.
