TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 20, 2021) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team opened a non-conference holiday tournament with impressive results Monday.
SLCC earned a 57-44 win over Casper College in the opening game of the 'CSN Holiday Tournament', hosted by the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. The victory extends Salt Lake's winning streak to nine games, with the Bruins now sitting at 10-2 overall.
Salt Lake took an early lead and progressively added to it, leading 24-19 at halftime. The Bruins took control in the third quarter, outscoring Casper 18-8 while limited Casper to just 2-of-11 shooting from the field.
Diarrah Sissoko finished with 16 points to lead Salt Lake, while
Hennessey Luu-Brown posted 12 points in the win.
Sephora Kayolo posted 8 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Salt Lake will play Glendale Community College on Tuesday in the tournament.
