No. 1 SLCC Men’s Basketball rolls to strong win over CNCC

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 16, 2021) – Coming off a record-setting performance, the No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team did not let down Thursday.

Playing in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game, SLCC earned a 139-65 win over visiting Colorado Northwestern Community College, staying undefeated in SWAC contests. The Bruins are now 13-0 overall and 4-0 in Scenic West play with the win.

Salt Lake played how it has played lately, combining suffocating defense with offensive firepower. SLCC held a 56-23 halftime lead, thanks to holding CNCC to just 27.27 percent shooting (6-of-22). The Bruins then shot 77.5 percent in the second half (31-40), powering to a lead that was as large as 76 points. SLCC's defense forced 36 turnovers.

Quincy McGriff led the Bruins with 20 points, while Jordan Brinson scored 19 points on a 7-of-7 performance from the field. Max Watson and Doctor Bradley both posted 15 points from the field, while Jaxon Pollard scored 14 points. Every SLCC player scored a minimum of six points.
