TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 8, 2020) – Victory found its way to the Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team Saturday.

SLCC kept its Scenic West Athletic Conference lead thanks to a 95-42Â win over Colorado Northwestern Community College inside the Lifetime Activities Center. With the win, the Bruins' overall record is now 19-5 and 8-1 in conference play.

Salt Lake dominated the game early, taking an 18-9 first-quarter lead and a 52-19 lead at the half. The Bruins held the Lady Spartans to a shooting percentage of 30.6 percent for the game (15-of-49), forcing 21 turnovers and scoring 42 points off those turnovers.
Awa Sidibe and
Jalyn VanDyke both finished with 13 points, with
Cameron Mooney posting 11 points.
Teuila Alofipo and
Sisilia Kaufusi both scored 10 points. Salt Lake had 12 different players score in the game.Â

The Bruins will have a week off, playing next Saturday in a critical Scenic West Athletic Conference game against the College of Southern Idaho. The game will be played inside the Lifetime Activities Center.Â
