TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 9, 2020) -Â The Salt Lake Community College women's basketball program continued its winning streak Thursday, downing the College of Southern Idaho to stay unbeaten in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

The Bruins earned a 67-55 win over the Golden Eagles, moving to 2-0 in league play. The win ups SLCC's overall record to 13-4.

It was Southern Idaho who took an early 14-13 lead after the first quarter before SLCC came back to open up a 30-24 lead at halftime. In a game that went back-and-forth, the Bruins never trailed by more than 6 points and led by as many as 15 points late in the fourth quarter.

Salt Lake used its dominance in the paint to control the game, finishing with a 36-16 edge in points-in-the-paint. SLCC also forced 19 turnovers, scoring 24 points off those turnovers.

Awa Sidibe led the Bruins with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while
Leichan Williams posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Ashley Scoggin scored 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting and
Fatoumata Jallow finished with 10 points.Â

Salt Lake will play at in-state rival Snow College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
