Tied 6-6 in extra innings of Saturday's second game, the Salt Lake Community College baseball team was looking for a player who could step up and deliver a critical moment to lift the Bruins to a doubleheader sweep of the College of Southern Idaho. SLCC found its man in
Brody Colledge, who hit a hard grounder to third base that scored
Josh Cowden and gave Salt Lake a 7-6 win.
Salt Lake also earned a 5-2 lead earlier in the day to earn the doubleheader sweep over Southern Idaho, boosting the team's overall record to 14-4 and 7-0 in the Scenic West. SLCC and Southern Idaho will close the series out with a single game on Sunday at Cate Field in West Jordan.
