TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 2, 2019) - A chilly day on the Wasatch Front didn't affect the Salt Lake Community College offense one bit.
The Bruins earned the series sweep of Colorado Northwestern Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of the day's action, earning impressive victories of 17-1 and 12-1 over the Spartans. With the win, SLCC's overall record boosted to 12-2 and 4-0 in the Scenic West.
Salt Lake will travel to play at Southern Idaho in a Scenic West series next weekend. The four-game series will start with a doubleheader on Friday.

Whitnee Alexander RBI double was part of a five-run first inning for Salt Lake, building off RBI singles by both
Mia Cullimore and
Rylee Harris to build an impressive lead.
Tarni Stepto led off the second inning with a solo home run, setting the stage for a six-run inning that featured another home run by
Kim Taylor.
In a game that ended on a run-rule, it was Taylor who hit a walk-off three-run home run in the fourth inning. On the pitching side,
Kiara Grover earned the victory by throwing a complete game and surrendering just one earned run.

Mallory Barber hit a solo home run to lead off the first inning, part of a seven-run inning for Salt Lake. A
Breah Ava RBI double started off the scoring in the second inning, with Ava going 2-for-2 at the plate with 2 RBI's.Â
Brook Carter earned the pitching win for Salt Lake, throwing a complete game of five innings and allowing just one run. Carter struck out seven batters in the victory.Â
