So was the story as the No. 5 Salt Lake Community College volleyball program hosted the No. 4 Snow College Badgers, bringing two of the state of Utah's powers into the Lifetime Activities Center with bragging rights and national implications on the line. With all of the pomp and circumstance in mind, the Bruins found the way to earn the victory, finishing with a 3-2 (24-26, 25-19, 25-15, 15-25, 15-12) win. The victory lifts Salt Lake's overall record to 19-1, with a league record of 3-0.
It was a back-and-forth affair, with Salt Lake barely losing the first set to the Badgers. Then, knotted at 8-8 in the fifth set, a hitting error gave SLCCÂ a lead it wouldn't relinquish. Holding a 14-12 match point lead,
Kayla Elliott's kill sent the Bruins to a big home victory in the program's league home-opener.

Jensyn Turner held the team-high with 14 kills, while
