SALT LAKE CITY (September 28, 2010) – The second ranked SLCC Bruin Volleyball team took #6 Western Wyoming down in three sets 25-23, 25-19 and 25-21. The Bruins remain a perfect 7-0 at home and are currently riding an 18 game winning streak.
Defense was the story with Salt Lake holding Western Wyoming to .082 hitting percentage in the match. Anna Burgess finished with a match high 18 digs. Ame White overpowered the Wyoming block to have 14 kills along with Kellie Turner (9 kills) and Shelbi Zaldain (7 kills). Catalina Charry had 35 of the 39 total sets for Salt Lake.
No. 2 Salt Lake (21-1, 2-0 SWAC) hits the road this weekend to face Snow College (12-9, 2-0) in Ephraim Utah on October 1st at 7 pm.
