Jason Crawford is an assistant coach with the nationally regarded Salt Lake Community College Baseball program. A Utah native, Crawford has been a long-time fixture in the Utah baseball scene as both a player and coach.

As an assistant with the Bruins, Crawford leads the team’s academic program, along with the weight room. He also coaches the team’s hitting, leading the Bruins to a batting average of .319 in the 2022 season. SLCC also hit 94 doubles, 24 triples, and had a slugging percentage of .502 during the year.Â

Prior to joining Salt Lake, Crawford was the head coach at Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City. He led the Colts to a record of 189-62 in his time, winning two UHSAA state championships and eight region championships.

Crawford grew up on the Wasatch Front, playing baseball at Cyprus High School, where he was a three-time All-State selection. He is a SLCC alum, earning Region 18 ‘Player-of the-Year’ honors. He graduated from Colorado Mesa University as a two-time All-America player, earning an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Sports and Fitness Management. He also holds a graduate degree in Special Education.
