Murray, Utah- No. 16 Salt Lake Men's Soccer (2-0) defeated No. 18 Casper College (0-2) 5-0. The game officially ended at the 71st minute because of serious lightning from a quick moving thunderstorm.
The Bruins started fast and led 4-0 at the half. Taylor Kogan scored in the 14th minute off a pass from Mekhi Haughton-Parris. 59 seconds later Mekhi set up Sharif Sayawu for Salt Lake's second goal.
A pass by Evan Beus found the foot of Truman Benson near the top of the box in the 37th minute. Benson struck it well and scored the Bruins third goal of the game.
Alan Guzman recorded a brace as he scored the Bruins last two goals. Mekhi Haughton-Parris finished with three assists for Salt Lake and the Bruins GK Ariel Martinez made two saves.
