PRICE, Utah- No. 18 SLCC Women's Basketball (11-5) dropped their conference opener as they fell to USU-Eastern (10-6) 70-66.
Tahys Da Silva hit a three-pointer in the final seconds of the first half to tie the game at 32-32. The Eagles outscored the Bruins 23-13 in the third quarter and held on for the victory. Da Silva finished with 17 points and 7 boards. Simran Williams had a game-high 20 points in the loss. Ines Babaya shot 4-6 from the floor and added 10 points.
Salt Lake went 3-13 as a team from beyond the arc. Both teams struggled from the line as each team went 9-16 on free throws.
