Gage Olsen Tosses a Complete Game, Bruins Win Game 1

WEST JORDAN, Utah- No. 16 Salt Lake won game 1 of the Region 18 semi-finals 10-0 against CNCC. 

C Easton Romero's broken bat single in the bottom of the sixth brought in Jalen Seward to end the game. 

RHP Gage Olsen picked up the win for the Bruins as he tossed a complete game. In six innings of work Olsen recorded four strikeouts and allowed two hits. 

Offensively the Bruins scored runs in five out of six innings. 1B Jalen Seward homered for Salt Lake to lead off the third inning. Seward finished with two hits, two RBI, and three runs scored. 3B Taylor Ayala had a multi-hit game, an RBI, and two runs scored. Romero added two RBI, two runs scored, and walked twice.

The top seeded Bruins continue the Region 18 semifinals on Friday May, 2nd. Game 2 against CNCC starts at 1:00 p.m. at Cate Field in West Jordan, Utah.
