Salt Lake, UTAH- No. 17 SLCC Women's Basketball (8-4) were upset as they lost 58-55 to Arizona Western (5-6).
The Matadors led the Bruins by two at the half and extended their lead after outscoring Salt Lake 20-6 in the third quarter. The Bruins made it close in the fourth, but could never take the lead.
Lyla Kahrimanovic had 22 points and 8 rebounds for the Bruins. Tahys Da Silva added 17 points and five assists for Salt Lake.
The Bruins had six of their 14 turnovers in the third quarter and went an abysmal 7-17 from the free-throw line.
