Salt Lake City, UTAH- No. 8 SLCC Volleyball (25-4) beat Central Arizona College (21-9) in five sets to become the 2025 Rocky Mountain District A champions. With the win the Bruins have an automatic bid to the National Tournament.
Cameron Zajer's 17th kill ended the match as the Bruins won the fifth set 15-7. Ryen Smith and Shaylee Dahle added 12 kills and ten kills for Salt Lake. Bruin Setter Myka Christensen had 37 assists and two timely kills.
Kambrie Kuhni had six block assists and Ryen Smith recorded seven block assists for Salt Lake. As a team the Bruins had 20 block assists and one solo block. "We've been able to close out some chapters and I'm pretty proud of what we've been able to do in each one of those chapters. Now another chapter begins and we can't go in assuming anything," said Bruins head coach Shay Goulding Meurer. The last time Salt Lake went to Nationals was in 2023.
