TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, August 31, 2024) - No. 5 Salt Lake Bruins volleyball cruised through day two of the Crystal "Inn"vitational to go 4-0 on the weekend.
Salt Lake dropped the first set in their early match to North Idaho College, but the Bruins won set number three in thrilling fashion 33-31. From there Salt Lake had all of the momentum and won the match in four sets. Logan Lindsay led the Bruins with 16 kills. Kallie Johansen and Allie Ferrin finished with 12 kills and ten kills respectively.
SLCC closed out the "Inn"vitational with a victory over Arizona Western College in straight sets. Havi Montano had a team high nine kills in a match that featured eleven different Bruins recording at least one kill. Setters Myka Christensen and Bella Houtz combined for 29 assists.
Salt Lake's Karlie Hopkins was named the All-Tournament libero to go along with Logan Lindsay and Kallie Johansen who were named to the Crystal "Inn"vitational All-Tournament Team.

The Bruins will play four games in Twin Falls, Idaho next weekend at the STARR Corporation Invitational hosted by the College of Southern Idaho. Salt Lake will play Northwest College at 5 p.m. MT on Thursday, September 5. The lone game on Friday is against Western Wyoming, and games against Northeastern Junior College and Casper College will be on Saturday.
