No. 13 Bruins baseball beats up on CNCC

Salt Lake sweeps Spartans out of town

WEST JORDAN, Utah (Friday, April 5, 2024)— No. 13 Salt Lake finished a four-game sweep over the visiting Colorado Northwestern Spartans at Cate Field. 

SLCC improved to 33-5 overall and 17-3 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

Game Three
SLCC 5 | CNCC 1

Shay Timmer threw five innings to get the win. The big righthander surrendered just two hits and a run while striking out five. 

Garrett Bauer went 3-3 with two RBI. Easton Romero also knocked in two runs.

Game Four
SLCC 8 | CNCC 5

Bauer went 3-4 and was one of four Bruins to finish with two or more hits. Kaden Hodson and Avery Doezie both drove in two runs.

Salt Lake drew eight walks as a team.

Taylor Ayala scattered six hits in 3.1 innings to get the win.
