TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, March 29, 2024)— Ninth-ranked Salt Lake extended its winning streak to 12 games with a doubleheader sweep over the Southern Nevada Coyotes.
SLCC improved to 26-5 and 16-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with the four-game sweep over CSN.
Game Three
SLCC 19 | CSN 0
Tiffany Hermansen went the distance in the circle, striking out five in five innings to earn SWAC Pitcher of the Week.
Miranda Mansfield gave Salt Lake a first-inning lead, and they never looked back in a 19-0 throttling of the Coyotes. Mansfield went 3-4 at the plate, driving in four runs and scoring three.
Kylee Ruesch hit a grand slam in a 12-run fifth inning and finished with five RBI. Emma Bradley-Tse was 3-4, scoring three runs.
Game Four
SLCC 13 | CSN 3
McKenna Cahoon scattered seven hits and struck out 11 in a six-inning complete game to complete the series sweep.
Lexi Shaver and Bailey Marvin each had three hits and combined for seven RBI.
Salt Lake pounded out 18 hits in the win.

No. 9 SLCC travels to Rangely, Colorado, for back-to-back doubleheaders against Colorado Northwestern on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6. First pitch on Friday is at 1 p.m. MT.
