Snow College stuns No. 1 Salt Lake men's soccer in Region 18 final

Bruins can't overcome early deficit in first loss of the season

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, November 2, 2024)— Top-ranked Salt Lake lost for the first time in 2024, falling to No. 17 Snow College 2-1 in the Region 18 Championship match on Saturday afternoon. 

The Badgers grabbed a lead in the opening minute when Ansoumane Camara beat Ben Maw in goal. The Bruin's deficit doubled when Jack Cook scored in the 14th minute. 

Salt Lake continued to battle but couldn't break through until the 76th minute. Nicola Brocca found Diego Vasquez for a late goal but it wasn't enough in the loss.
