Box Score WICHITA, Kansas- No. 3 seed Salt Lake Men's Soccer won in shootout fashion against No. 10 seed Murray State College in each team's first game of the National Tournament.
Through regulation and both overtimes neither team from Pool C found the back of the net. The Bruin penalty takers were clutch from the spot, going a perfect five for five on penalty kicks, ultimately boosting Salt Lake to a 5-4 shootout victory.
Larry Noel, Diego Ossa, Joon Han, Jorge De La Vibora Bonilla, and Diego Vasquez made their PKs for Salt Lake.
Goalkeeper Erick Jaspers had five saves for the Bruins and stopped Murray States second PK in the shootout with a diving save.
