SIERRA VISTA, Arizona-No. 20 Bruin Women's Basketball had two games in two days at the Cochise Classic. Salt Lake improved to (6-1) on the year after back-to-back low scoring victories.
Salt Lake beat Cochise College 53-46 on Friday. Guards Tahys Da Silva and Autumn Agnew led the Bruins with ten points each. Freshman Nari Powers recorded nine points and eight rebounds for Salt Lake.
The Bruins won their second game of the classic 64-54 over Central Arizona College. It was a monster game for Bruin forwards Laura Di Stefano and Nari Powers as they both recorded double-doubles. Di Stefano had eleven points and 14 rebounds, Powers had 20 points and 15 boards. Da Silva hit three threes and contributed eleven points for the Bruins.
