TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Thursday, October 31, 2024)- No. 6 Salt Lake Women's Soccer (15-2, 12-2) scored two goals in each half, leading to a 4-1 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College in the Region 18 semifinal.
Freshman Sophie Eckery got the scoring going with an amazing shot from outside the box. Sophomore Kenadee Thomas doubled the Bruins lead with a goal midway through the first half.
CNCC answered off a brilliant strike from Ashlee Harris and the Spartans trailed the Bruins 2-1 at halftime.
Sophomore Mao Ito scored early into the second half off an assist from her high school and now Bruin teammate Reika Yuba. Sophomore Cortnee Johnson's free kick found the back of the net for the Bruins fourth goal. Johnson sent the set piece into the crowded box and the ball snuck by everyone for the goal.

No. 1 seed Salt Lake will play No. 2 seed Snow College on Saturday, November 2 in Taylorsville, Utah for the Regional Championship. The Region 18 Final between the Bruins and the Badgers starts at 11:00 a.m.
