TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, January 20, 2024) – Salt Lake extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 72-68 win over the Southern Nevada Coyotes on Saturday, January 20.

SLCC (16-4, 3-0) remains the only undefeated team in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Defense ruled the day for Salt Lake as the Bruins collected eight steals and held the Coyotes to 40 percent shooting in the win.

Ana Oliviera-Dias sealed the win with her third steal of the afternoon coming in the final seconds with her team clinging to a two-point lead. Dias played all 40 minutes, finishing with an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double and a team-high six assists.

Mia Tarver scored a team-high 15 points with four assists while Karina Grayer and Heaven Samayoa-Mathis each scored 11. 

The Bruins tangle with No. 16 Utah State Eastern on Wednesday, January 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. (MT).
