TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 23, 2023) - The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team continued its unbeaten run, earning a strong home victory in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Saturday.
SLCC posted a 3-1 win over USU Eastern, scoring each of its goals in the second half. The Bruins are now 9-0-1 with the win, moving to 5-0-1 in Scenic West play.
After a scoreless first half, Sawyer Heaton posted an unassisted goal in the 56th minute to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. Joseph Picotto scored minutes later to boost the lead to 2-0, with Lewis Duncan scoring in the 68th minute to give SLCC a 3-0 lead.
Bruins goalkeeper Ben Williams made three saves in the victory.
Salt Lake will continue its homestand next week, hosting Snow College on Saturday.
