Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 30, 2023) – A strong second half lifted the No. 3 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team to an impressive victory Saturday.
SLCC posted a 3-1 win over in-state rival Snow College, scoring a pair of goals in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie. The Bruins are now 10-0-1 overall, alongside a mark of 6-0-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Salt Lake came out hot, with Gilles Aurelien scoring off a Lewis Duncan goal in the ninth minute. After Snow scored late in the first half to tie the match, Joseph Picotto scored off a penalty kick in the 62nd minute to give SLCC the lead for good. Lewis Duncan also scored in the 77th minute.
The Bruins held a 20-8 edge in total shots, with an 11-4 margin in shots-on-goal. Ben Williams made three saves at goal for SLCC.
Salt Lake will host Southern Nevada on Thursday.Â
