TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 2, 2023) – The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team posted a tie against an in-state rival in its Scenic West Athletic Conference opener.
SLCC posted a 2-2 tie against rival Snow College, posting both goals in the second half. The Bruins are now 4-0-1 overall, and sitting at 0-0-1 in league play.
Snow held a 1-0 lead at halftime, prior to Larry Noel posting a goal in the 68th minute to tie the match at 1-1. Francisco Tita posted a SLCC goal in the 77th minute to take a 2-1 lead. The Bruins held the lead until the 90th minute, when Snow scored the tying goal.
SLCC held a 15-7 edge in total shots, with a 9-4 margin in shots-on-goal. Ben Williams made a pair of saves.
Salt Lake will travel to play at Southern Nevada on Thursday.
