No. 6 SLCC Women’s Soccer rolls to strong win over Truckee Meadows

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 16, 2023) – The No. 6 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer team posted another shutout victory Saturday, upping its winning streak to three matches.
 
SLCC earned a 2-0 win over Scenic West rival Truckee Meadows, posting its fourth shutout victory of the season. The Bruins are now 5-1 overall with the win, alongside a mark of 3-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
 
In a game the Bruins statistically dominated, Salt Lake posted an edge of 16-3 in total shots. A Lexi Vernsey shot found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, while Braelyn Baclayon posted a SLCC goal in the 58thminute. 
 
Salt Lake goalkeeper Aliya Garrett made a pair of saves in the win. Vernsey and Anna Pinegar both posted three shots each.
