No. 3 SLCC Men’s Soccer downs Laramie County to end preseason undefeated

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 27, 2023) – The No. 3 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team completed its preseason schedule Sunday, earning an impressive win to stay undefeated.

Salt Lake earned a 2-0 win over Laramie County to finish the preseason at 4-0, finishing with a 21-0 scoring margin. The Bruins also continued a trend of taking early leads, posting a 1-0 lead at halftime over LCCC.

Sawyer Heaton put the Bruins on the board in the 44th minute, scoring on an unassisted goal shortly before halftime. Francisco Tita then posted the clinching goal in the 88th minute. SLCC held a 33-4 advantage in total shots, including a 20-1 margin in shots-on-goal. 

SLCC will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play this weekend, traveling to play at Snow College.
