Men's Basketball: After a surprising loss last week, the Bruins will recenter heading into their final week of league play at home.

SLCC suffered a last-second loss at Snow College, setting the Bruins in second place in the Scenic West standings. Salt Lake will play host to Southern Nevada on Thursday, then will look for a 3-0 mark against in-state rival USU Eastern on 'Sophomore Day'.

Softball: After several weeks off, the SLCC Softball team returns to play this week, traveling to the Lone Star State for a full weekend of competition.

The Bruins will play six games in the tournament, facing off against longtime powers such as Tyler Junior College. This is Salt Lake's final preseason competition in advance of the early March open to Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

SLCC coach Cyndee Bennett said her team is looking forward to the challenge in Texas.

"We are excited to play some good competition this weekend," he said. "We will be playing ranked opponents, so our goal every day is to get one-percent better and to have as much fun as we can."

Women's Basketball: The aftermath of a tough road loss is where Salt Lake will look to build from heading into this week's pair of Scenic West games.

SLCC is now third in the Scenic West standings, facing off against a Southern Nevada team that is battling for the final playoff spot in the upcoming Region 18 tournament. The Bruins will also play USU Eastern on Saturday in the 'Sophomore Day' game, looking to down the Lady Eagles for the first time this season.
