TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 6, 2023) -Â The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team is on its way to Kansas.
SLCC earned a 3-1 victory over Eastern Arizona in the Monday's NJCAA Rocky Mountain District championship match, powering to a win by set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-18, 25-19. The win lifts the Bruins to 25-5 overall.
Salt Lake used a strong service game to power to the victory, earning a 9-2 edge over Eastern Arizona. The Bruins hit .268 in the victory, posting 61 kills. Marija Tabak had a monster performance of 16 kills on a hitting percentage of .483, while Brinley Hansen had 12 kills and Kylie Schroeder posted 11 kills. Brinlie Crosbie had 49 kills and Randi Reeves posted 20 digs.
SLCC will learn its draw in the upcoming NJCAA tournament during Thursday's 'NJCAA Selection Show', which will be aired at 11:00 a.m. MDT on the 'NJCAA Network'.Â
