TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Friday, November 24, 2023) – Salt Lake withstood a fourth-quarter rally from Eastern Wyoming to post a 65-55 win.

The Bruins improved to 4-3 with a win to open the SLCC Thanksgiving Classic.

15 points each from Heaven Samayoa-Mathis and Ana Oliviera Dias paced the Bruins in the win. Samayoa-Mathis added eight rebounds, five steals, and three assists.

Jeanne Rodriguez was a force off the bench, adding nine points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes.  Mia Tarver finished with eight points, six rebounds, and two assists. SLCC had 12 steals as a team.

Salt Lake resumes the Thanksgiving tournament at Bruin Arena when they take on Odessa College on Saturday, November 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. (MT). You can find tickets for all Salt Lake Community College events here.
