TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 1, 2023) - Five Bruins scored in double-figures as Salt Lake opened the season with a 77-70 road win over Central Wyoming College.

The No. 5 Salt Lake Community College Bruins began the non-conference portion of its 2023-24 season at Central Wyoming on Wednesday, November 1. 

Bryce Zephir and Xavier Edmonds led the Bruins with 14 points apiece, making a combined 13-of-17 shots. Zaon Collins just missed a double-double, finishing with 11 points and a team-high nine assists. 

Salt Lake shot 64 percent (16-of-25) in the first half and finished the game shooting 60.4 percent from the field. The Bruins made 7-of-14 threes. 

The Bruins next game is on Friday, November 3 in the Casper College Tournament. The Casper College Thunderbirds will host SLCC in a game that tips off at 7:30 p.m. (MT).
