TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 22, 2023) – The No. 2 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team has claimed the Scenic West Athletic Conference title.
In advance of this week's upcoming Region 18 championships, which SLCC will host, the Bruins earned a 1-0 road win over USU Eastern Saturday to also earn the tournament's top seed as the Scenic West champion. The victory lifted Salt Lake to 14-0-2 and 10-0-2 in league play.
SLCC scored its lone goal in the 70th minute as the Bruins earned a Sawyer Heaton goal. Salt Lake goalkeeper Ben Williams made a trio of saves in the win.
Salt Lake will host the Region 18 championships starting Thursday, playing No. 4 Truckee Meadows.
