The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer team opened Scenic West Athletic Conference play with a 2-0 win over No. 8 Snow College, moving to 2-0 at home in the young season after scoring a pair of goals in the second half. SLCC is now 2-1 overall.
After playing to a scoreless first half, Salt Lake got on the board in the 74
th minute with a
Lexi Vernsey goal.
Jordan Roe added a security goal in the 82
nd minute.Â

Salt Lake posted a 17-5 advantage in total shots in the match, with Vernsey leading with four shots. Bruins goalkeeper
Theresa Wiesiolek made three saves.Â

The Bruins will travel to play another in-state rival next week, playing a match at USU Eastern before traveling on to play Colorado Northwestern.
