Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 8, 2022) – The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer team downed yet another in-state rival Thursday.
Playing in a road match at USU Eastern, the Bruins earned a 1-0 win over the Lady Eagles in double overtime to move to 2-0 in rivalry games this season, also lifting their Scenic West Athletic Conference record to 2-0 also. SLCC is now 3-1 overall.
In a match that was a defensive stalemate, the Bruins and Lady Eagles played to a draw until the second overtime period, when

Aly Starbuck assist.

Theresa Wiesiolek played a pivotal role in the win, finishing with nine saves. She made three crucial saves on USU Eastern shots-on-goal early in the match.
The Bruins will play a Scenic West road match at Colorado Northwestern on Saturday.
