TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 20, 2022) – A strong weekend for the No. 11 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball team finished with an impressive win.

Salt Lake closed off an undefeated run through the 'UFirst Intermountain Invitational' Saturday, earning a 3-1 win over Indian River State College by set scores of 25-17, 25-27, 25-11, 25-19. The victory leaves the Bruins at 3-0 overall in the young season.

SLCC hit .323 during the match, finishing with 63 kills and 10 aces.
Sammy Perry led the Bruins with 14 kills, while
Kylie Schroeder had 12 kills.
Anastasia Tuifua posted 10 kills.
Laura Fiabane also finished with 50 assists.
Fiabane was named to the All-Tournament Team. Perry was the tournament's 'Most Valuable Player'.Â

SLCC will travel to Texas next weekend for a tournament hosted by Odessa College. Salt Lake's next scheduled home contest is on September 2 against Casper College.Â
