Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 5, 2022) – The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team continued rolling forward Saturday, earning a conference road win over an in-state foe.

SLCC picked up a 74-59 victory over USU Eastern, moving to 3-0 on the season over the Eagles. The Bruins are now 26-0 overall and 15-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games with the victory.

In a game where the statistics were mostly equal, it was Salt Lake's depth that made the overwhelming difference as the Bruins posted a 30-11 edge in bench points. SLCC held a 37-25 halftime lead, never trailing after the opening minutes of the game.

"Tonight was another good team win," said SLCC coach
Kyle Taylor. "USU Eastern is relentless and they never quit. (USU Eastern coach Bill Evans) has them playing hard, running their matchup zone really well and believing. They are a tough out. We had a strong start and were able to keep separation throughout. It's always good to win on the road in Price, no matter what the score is."

Quincy McGriff scored 20 points to lead all scorers, with
Marion Humphrey finishing with 10 points.
Jaquan Scott and
Jaxon Pollard both posted 8 points in the win.

Jaquan Scott both played well tonight and gave us a boost."

Salt Lake will host Utah Peaks Prep on Tuesday, then will face off against Snow College on Saturday. Both games will be played inside the Lifetime Activities Center.
