TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 26, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team fell in a Region 18 tournament game Friday.
SLCC lost in a semifinal battle with in-state rival Snow College, falling 64-56 in a topsy-turvy decision. The loss ends Salt Lake's season with a mark of 21-9 overall.
Snow played well in the first half, powering to a 39-30 lead at halftime. The Bruins then took control in the third quarter, outscoring Snow 18-8 in the period to move to a 48-47 lead entering the final period. Unfortunately, SLCC went just 1-of-12 in the final period to fall to the loss.
Zaliah Adams led the Bruins with 16 points.
Snow College will advance to Saturday's Region 18 championship game, where it will face Southern Idaho.
