Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 9, 2022) – Little is deterring the No. 2 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team right now.

The Bruins had to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play with a pair of in-state road games, including foes who had national rankings. The challenge of that task did little to affect SLCC though, with Salt Lake posting a 76-60 win at USU Eastern. Salt Lake is now 10-0 overall and 2-0 in Scenic West play.

The Bruins came out of the gate hot, taking a 48-31 halftime lead after limiting the Eagles to just 33.3 percent shooting and just 2-of-7 from three-point range. Salt Lake also controlled down low throughout the win, posting a 49-31 edge in rebounding. SLCC led by as many as 21 points in the game and never trailed.

Alejandro Vasquez led the Bruins with 21 points, while
Tyson Garff had 13 points.
Jaquan Scott scored 11 points and
Hunter Erickson posted 10 points.Â

Salt Lake will play its Scenic West home opener next week against Colorado Northwestern. The game against the Spartans will start inside the Lifetime Activities Center at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.Â
